Radiohead-Guitarist Jonny Greenwood - Cancellation due to serious illness
The British Rock band The Smile has had to cancel a series of upcoming concerts due to guitarist Jonny Greenwood (52) falling ill. On The X Channel of the group and in an Instagram story of Radiohead the worrying news was announced. "A few days ago, Jonny fell seriously ill with an infection that required emergency hospital treatment, including time on the intensive care unit", it says there about the events.

Fortunately, the guitarist is "out of danger and will soon be returning home". However, the medical team responsible for Greenwood's treatment has advised the group to cancel all shows until the musician has fully recovered. "Therefore, The Smile's Europe tour in August has been cancelled", the band writes further.
The Smile consists of Radiohead members Greenwood and the legendary singer Thom Yorke (55), from whose pen come unforgettable hits like "Creep" or "Karma Police". Drummer Tom Skinner (44) completes the band. Originally, concerts were planned for the month of August in Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna. These are now cancelled. "We all wish Jonny a speedy recovery", it still says in the group's post.
