BVB snaps up a Bundesliga top scorer

VfB Stuttgart is forced to rebuild its squad. First, Hiroki Ito joined FC Bayern Munchen, then Waldemar Anton went to Dortmund, and now Borussia Dortmund signed Torjäger Serhou Guirassy, who will wear black and yellow instead of the vest.

On Monday evening, Serhou Guirassy bid farewell to Waldemar Anton on Instagram. "Rough player," wrote the top striker of VfB Stuttgart about his teammate who is leaving, "all the best for the future." The following day, it became clear that this future would be a shared one. Guirassy is joining Dortmund, so there is an agreement between Dortmund and the 28-time scorer of the previous season.

VfB had already confirmed Anton's departure on the previous Thursday without naming his destination - the same statement was made regarding the departure of defender Anton. Dortmund announced the signing of the 27-year-old German EM participant on Monday, and Guirassy's signing is expected to follow soon.

This duo will be part of another Dortmund attack aiming to bring the Meisterschale back to the Ruhrpott. However, the VfB is suffering from the curse of success with full force: after the storming run into the Champions League, the successful team is being dismantled by the competition.

Defender Hiroki Ito has already joined FC Bayern Munchen, and there are persistent rumors about Chris Führich's departure. The future of national striker Deniz Undav, whose loan with Brighton and Hove Albion expired on June 30, is also uncertain. For Anton and Guirassy, the VfB will at least receive around 40 million Euros in compensation, which they can and must use to rebuild their team.

What about Haller and Moukoko?

The Guinean Guirassy, born in the French town of Arles, is expected to receive a four-year contract in Dortmund. He is in direct competition with German national striker Niclas Füllkrug, who was a fixture in the BVB attack last season. He scored twelve Bundesliga goals and set up eight more, and at the EM, he scored two goal-scoring substitutions. Guirassy is more of a classic finisher, as he only provided his teammates with two goals.

It is unclear whether Sebastien Haller will leave the BVB, as the hottest rumor recently led to Besiktas Istanbul in Turkey. Additionally, it is questionable whether Youssoufa Moukoko will be content with a place on the bench under the new trainer Nuri Sahin - he was already considered dissatisfied under Edin Terzic in the previous season.

The Dortmund team intends and will continue to make additional transfers. Marco Reus has left the club like Hummels, and the BVB lost the fight against Aston Villa for the loaned left back Ian Maatsen, who was a mainstay in the previous season.

However, there is already an agreement with national player Pascal Groß - according to information from Sportschau and Sky, only the transfer fee with Brighton and Hove Albion needs to be negotiated. According to "Bild," Chelsea shows great interest in Karim Adeyemi: The BVB is taking a big risk.

VfB Stuttgart is looking to utilize the funds from the transfers of Guirassy and Anton to strengthen their squad, potentially targeting players like Sebastien Haller or Karim Adeyemi who have been linked with moves to the club.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund's attack is set to be bolstered by the additions of Guirassy and Niclas Füllkrug, as they aim to challenge for the Meisterschale and compete with other top German teams in transfers and rumors.
