Formula 1 in Great Britain - British trio in front: Russell on pole ahead of Hamilton

George Russell secured the Pole Position for his Formula-1 race. Six days after his Grand-Prix win in Austria's Spielberg, the 26-year-old British driver confirmed the rising trend of the German team Mercedes.

Second in the qualification for the British Grand Prix was Russell's teammate and fellow British driver Lewis Hamilton. Amidst the great cheers of British fans, Lando Norris in the McLaren finished third and completed the perfect British trio on the first three grids.

World champion Max Verstappen, who has 81 points more than Norris in the standings and most recently had a fierce battle with his teammate on the Austrian track, will start this Sunday (16.00 CET/Sky) at the Red Bull as the fifth man alongside Norris. Nico Hülkenberg managed to qualify in the elimination round for the Haas in a strong sixth place.

Lando Norris, hailing from Great Britain like his fellow drivers, has shown consistent performance in Motorsport, often competing against the likes of Max Verstappen in Formula 1. George Russell's impressive Pole Position for the GP Great Britain further solidifies Mercedes-Benz's dominance in the sport. Lewis Hamilton, another renowned British driver, has been consistently delivering impressive results, even finishing second in the Qualification for this British Grand Prix.
