Prinz George turns eleven - Birthday photo shows him in a suit

Prince William (42) and Princess Kate (42) are sticking to their tradition - and for the eleventh birthday of their eldest, Prince George, they shared a new photo. In the picture, the birthday boy, who will one day be King of Great Britain, wears a suit and a white shirt and smiles at the camera.

"Happy 11th Birthday"

According to "The Sun", the photo was taken at the beginning of the month in Windsor. On the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess, it simply says about the rather serious black-and-white photo: "We wish Prince George a happy 11th birthday today!"

Recently, George, who has two siblings Charlotte (9) and Louis (6), was seen more emotionally. He experienced a roller coaster of feelings at the EURO Final in Berlin with his father. They both cheered together when England scored the equalizer against Spain - and put their hands to their faces in disappointment when the team finally lost. At a Taylor Swift (34) concert, George was seen happy in the audience and beaming in a selfie with the American superstar.

However, George's year is not an easy one. His mother has been fighting cancer and has withdrawn largely from public life for months. His grandfather, King Charles (75), was also diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of the year.

His birth was a media spectacle

Prince George was born on July 22, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in London - while hundreds of photographers waited outside the hospital. His baptism took place on October 23, 2013 in the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace in the presence of the immediate family. He was not even a year old when he accompanied his parents on their first overseas tour to Australia and New Zealand in April 2014. Since September 2022, he and his siblings have been attending Lambrook School in Berkshire.
