Beyoncé's unique rendition of Dolly Parton's "Jolene" left the legendary singer impressed.

In a recent chat with "E! News", Parton discussed the pop star's interpretation of "Jolene" for "Cowboy Carter". She remarked, "I think it was quite daring of her. When they told me Beyoncé would sing 'Jolene', I anticipated it would be my familiar version, but it wasn't. And I adore what she did with it. As a songwriter, it's gratifying to witness others perform your songs regardless of their interpretation."

In Beyonce's rendition of the 1973 hit, the storyline deviates from Parton's original plea to another woman not to take her man.

"She wasn't going to grovel like I did," Parton chuckled. "Instead of 'Don't steal my man', she's like 'Get the hell outta here, bitch. You ain't takin' mine'."

The country legend expressed her approval of Beyonce's country album, which includes a feature from Parton.

"I thought she did a fantastic job with country music, and I was thrilled she recorded 'Jolene'. If only she could've sung it the way I did the original, that would've been perfect. But then, it's Beyonce – her life is very different from mine."

After the album's release, Parton said she and Beyoncé had a conversation and all is well. Should the chance arise, she'd be delighted to perform a duet with Beyoncé at the next Grammy Awards.
