Season four of "Bridgerton" - Benedict Bridgerton's Love Story
The Riddle is solved: Netflix has announced in a press release and a short video who the main character in the upcoming fourth season of "Bridgerton" will be. As many fans had already suspected, the new seasons will focus on "Artist, Charmer and Rake" Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson (36).
Benedict encounters his "mysterious woman"
According to Netflix, the charming, mysterious, and unbound Benedict will encounter a mysterious woman in the new seasons who "completely captivates him." Netflix writes that the encounter takes place at a typical "Bridgerton"-style masked ball, which Benedict's mother organizes. Netflix is keeping further details about Benedict Bridgerton's love story to themselves.
It was already suspected by fans that the fourth season of the TV show, which is inspired by the bestsellers of Julia Quinn (54), would focus on the second eldest Bridgerton sibling. In Season 3, the love story of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton, 31) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan, 37) was told. In the book series, this is Book 4. The third book deals with Benedict Bridgerton. However, the stories of his sisters Eloise (Claudia Jessie, 34) or Francesca (Hannah Dodd, 29) are also still open and may provide material for two more seasons.
Production of Season 4 is underway
The production of the new episodes has been running since April. When Season 4 will appear on Netflix is currently still unknown. The stars of Season 3, Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton, are still appearing in the series. It is likely that Adjoa Andoh (61) as Lady Danbury, Golda Rosheuvel (54, Queen Charlotte), and Ruth Gemmell (56, Lady Violet Bridgerton) will also be back.
