Bayern youngster Musiala out with torn muscle fiber
National soccer player Jamal Musiala is out for the last international matches of the year. According to "Bild" and Sport1, the FC Bayern attacking player has suffered a small muscle fiber tear in his left rear thigh.
A break of around two weeks is expected. The 20-year-old will therefore also miss Saturday's Bundesliga match against 1. FC Heidenheim.
Injured during quick movement
Musiala had indicated that he had to be substituted shortly before the break in the 2-1 Champions League win over Galatasaray Istanbul after a quick movement in the penalty area. Musiala suffered a muscle injury for the third time this year. Thomas Müller came on for him in the 40th minute. He could also benefit from his absence from the national team.
The DFB team of national coach Julian Nagelsmann will play against Turkey in Berlin on November 18. In the last international match of the year, the DFB team will face Austria three days later in Vienna.
After the Heidenheim game, Musiala is also likely to miss the league game in Cologne on November 24 after the international break. However, the attacking player could be available again for the Premier League home game against Copenhagen five days later.
Despite the injury, Musiala's absence from the Champions League might benefit FC Bayern Munich in their upcoming matches. With Musiala out for the national team matches against Turkey and Austria, Thomas Müller might get more playing time in the midfield.
