Matthijs de Ligt is the focus of discussion. - Bayern Munich player ties the knot with beloved lady

Football pro Matthijs de Ligt (24) and his model girlfriend Annekee Molenaar (24) tied the knot on June 7th, right before the Euro Cup. The German Vogue magazine revealed their wedding pictures, and they both uploaded the same on Instagram. De Ligt, who plays for Bayern Munich, is also a national player, and so the grand celebration has been postponed after their civil wedding.

Their dreamy Tuscan wedding

They are planning their lavish Italian wedding in Tuscany, says the bride. De Ligt and Molenaar have been residing in Italy for almost three years and enjoy the place a lot, so a wedding there seemed appropriate. Unfortunately, the big wedding had to be pushed to later since the Euro Cup was supposed to be in Germany that summer. "We finally wanted to make it official and be a husband and wife," she explains.

The couple had a small ceremony, only including their immediate family, parents, grandparents, siblings, bridesmaids, and groomsmen. Molenaar was extremely happy to have had a cozy ceremony. "It was intimate, and everyone felt at ease," she shares.

An elaborate but perfect proposal

Their engagement was just as romantic and special as their wedding. It supposedly took place about a year ago. Molenaar had a dreamy vision for her proposal. Matthijs listened carefully, and gave her the perfect one - a dinner on the beach in Greece during sunset, with no one else around.
