FC Bayern Munich's basketball players are just one win away from making it to the final in the Basketball Bundesliga. They are currently the best team of the regular season and have won their second home game in the playoff semi-final series against the Würzburg Baskets, leading 2-0 after a 99:75 (48:44)-win in the best-of-five series. The game had the favorite not trailing. The next match in the series is scheduled for Sunday in Würzburg.

In their previous game, the Bayern players capitalized on their strengths, with Devin Booker and Serge Ibaka pushing Munich to an 11-point lead. However, the Würzburgers managed to stay closer this time, only trailing by one point at half-time, 21:22. In the second quarter, the Baskets mostly kept pace with the favorite, only trailing by four points, 44:48.

After the break, Darius Perry kept the Würzburg game close for a while, but the Bayern eventually pulled away during the third quarter, leading by double digits for the first time.
