Professional cyclist Phil Bauhaus took the overall lead in the Tour of Slovenia after winning the second stage.

Prior to the Tour de France, Phil Bauhaus displays improvements with a win at the Slovenia-Rundfahrt. The top German sprinter secured victory on the stage after Rogaska Slatina, beating Alberto Dainese from Italy and Luka Mezgec from Slovenia. Jonas Koch from the Bora-hansgrohe team placed fourth. Bauhaus also occupied the top spot in the general classification.

For Bauhaus, who is set to represent his team Bahrain-Victorious in the Tour de France commencing in Florence on June 29th, this marked his second triumph of the year. In March, the 29-year-old clinched the third stage at the Tirreno-Adriatico.

In the Tour de France, Bauhaus aspires to secure a stage win. In the previous year, he achieved second and third place finishes at the France-Rundfahrt for the first time, but he had to withdraw prior to the King's stage to Courchevel just four days before the conclusion.
