Seda and Barbara Host Different Award Shows

On September 24, Shary Reeves will be in charge of the "Night of Creatives" ceremony. This is where individuals excelling in creative fields, often those working behind the scenes, would be rewarded. Reeves highlights, "Recognition for all the amazing colleagues whose innovative ideas and refinement contribute to creating fantastic shows, films, and documentaries."
On the following day, September 25, Barbara Seda will preside over the grand TV event for the 7th time. Here, besides the craft categories, the promotion prize and honorary prize would also be awarded. This year, the gala will be telecasted by ARD. "The German Television Award turns 25 this year, and I've had the pleasure of being a part of this glamorous celebration of the best in our industry for a few years now, first as a judge behind the scenes and then also on stage and in front of the camera," Seda is quoted as saying in a statement. "Of course, I'll be there for the anniversary."
Who Forms the Jury?
Seda first hosted the television award in 2016 and then every year until 2022. Last year, the award ceremony was under Sat.1's administration, and the laudators were swapped instead of having a fixed host.
The management of the German Television Award changes annually. It is backed by ARD, ZDF, RTL, Sat.1, and Deutsche Telekom. Starting from 2023, streaming providers Disney+, Netflix, and Prime Video have also become associates of the award ceremony. This year's unbiased jury comprises actress Valeria Siebert (49), ZDF news anchor Jana Pawelski (43), "Knowledge Makes Ah!" host Shary Reeves (55), and actress Collien Wulf-Fernandes (42).
Seda mentioned that this year, the German Television Award, which turns 25, will be telecasted by ARD.In the past, the management of the German Television Award has included streaming providers like Disney+, Netflix, and Prime Video, starting from 2023.
