Austria wins ahead of test against DFB team - Hungary buys ticket
Austria warmed up for Tuesday's test match against Germany with a commanding victory.
Coach Ralf Rangnick's team, which has already qualified for the European Championship, won 2:0 (2:0) in Estonia. Spain had also already secured qualification for the 2024 tournament, winning 3:1 (3:0) in Cyprus.
Late own goal gives Hungary a ticket to the European Championship
Hungary have now booked their place at the European Championship in Germany after scoring a late equalizer to draw 2:2 (1:1) in Bulgaria. Martin Adam (10th minute) gave Hungary a quick lead, but Spas Delev (24th) equalized before the break. Kiril Despodov (79) finally put Bulgaria ahead. But in the seventh minute of stoppage time, Bulgaria's Alex Petkov scored an own goal, which was enough for the Hungarians to qualify for the European Championship.
Bundesliga pros score for Austria
The Austrians were able to plan for the European Championship beforehand. Bundesliga professionals Konrad Laimer (26) and Philipp Lienhart (40) scored in the win in Estonia. On Tuesday, Rangnick's team will receive the DFB selection for a test match.
For the Spaniards, 16-year-old Lamine Yamal (5), Mikel Oyarzabal (22) and Joselu (28) scored in Cyprus. Kostas Pielas (75) scored the equalizer for the hosts. The Spaniards can now hardly be denied victory in the group.
Austria's victory over Estonia secured their spot in the EM, and they now look forward to their qualification test against Germany. Hungary, on the other hand, clinched their EM ticket through a late own goal against Bulgaria.
