The Master's celebration is drawing to a close, with everyone now looking ahead to the future. The SC Magdeburg have a chance to claim their next title this upcoming weekend in Cologne in the Champions League. Then, it's about defending the title they won last time in the Champions League's Final Four.

In the semifinals, the Magdeburg handball team will be going up against the Danish top club Aalborg HB, featuring former Kiel top goalkeeper Niklas Landin.

During a speech on the Magdeburg town hall balcony, left-back Matthias Musche stated, "We can't promise we'll win, but we can promise one thing: We will give everything for you." Team captain Christian O'Sullivan also Chimed in, expressing his thoughts on the upcoming weekend, "It's a weekend with four very good teams. You have to deliver two insane games to even have a chance of winning everything."

O'Sullivan had some words to say about FC Barcelona, stating that their six-time participate in the Final Four was "impressive."

At SC Magdeburg, their focus is on each game at a time, so their main concentration right now is on their semifinal opponents, Aalborg. As O'Sullivan put it, "They're also just champions, another top team - and we have to play really well against them to have any chance of playing for the title."

Reports of concerns have arisen regarding player Gisli Kristjansson. The Icelandic player had a hard fall in a league game in Mannheim, causing fear of a possible concussion. He was held out of the last league match. Manager Bennet Wiegert assured that they would be especially cautious with Kristjansson, stating, "We are very, very careful at SC Magdeburg and will not take any risks. You can only wait for the test results day by day."

Kristjansson was present at the Masters' celebration on the town hall balcony, potentially being a good sign for the MVP of the last Final Four.
