Pop music giant excels. - As early as age eleven, Dieter Bohlen aspired for fame.
Multi-talented artist and judge on "Deutschland sucht den Superstar," Dieter Bohlen, had incredibly ambitious aspirations as a child. "I've been telling people that I want to be famous and wealthy since I was 11 years old," the 70-year-old shared with Bremen's "Weser-Kurier."
Work-life balance isn't in his vocabulary, Bohlen added. To achieve his objectives, he embraced a non-stop work schedule, even during holidays and weekends. "We were all literally nuts back then," he recalled. "I don't think that sort of thing exists anymore. It's acceptable."
In Bohlen's opinion, there are fewer people with such ambitious goals these days. Today, he believes, people prioritize reason and health over the pursuit of renown. This is a positive development. "My career path wasn't an easy one," he remarked. "Others may think it was all about luck – and it was – but you often have to put up with it for a long time before the success actually comes."
