Are they both going to the Olympics?

Are Prince William and Princess Kate still on their way to the Olympics in Paris?

- Are they both going to the Olympics?

Speculations about a possible visit by Prince William (42) and Princess Kate (42) to Paris during the 2024 Olympic Games have been circulating for some time. However, whether they will actually travel depends on how the British heir apparent's wife, who is battling cancer, is feeling at the moment. An insider hints that the sporting mega-event could be good for Kate, while another says she is eager to attend.

Palace insider emphasizes: Small victories are important

According to the U.S. magazine "People", it is possible that the two royals could make an appearance in Paris. Both William and Kate are known to be sports enthusiasts, and an anonymous source says that one of their rare public appearances after Kate's cancer diagnosis seemed to do her good.

Princess Kate is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which hosts the Wimbledon Championships. She attended the men's final of the tournament and presented the trophy to the winner, Carlos Alcaraz (21), to a standing ovation. "That would have given her strength. She has gone through something terrible and stressful, and it's important to have small victories to look forward to or that give you the courage and energy to keep going," says the palace insider. That was indeed the case for the princess at Wimbledon.

Olympic Games close to home

A source close to Kate revealed to the British tabloid "Daily Express" a few days ago that the princess would like to attend the Olympic Games. Kate has fond memories of the games in London in 2012 and would therefore like to attend the event again, as it is taking place relatively close to home this year. However, the insider also emphasized that there was no firm decision on a visit at that time, and that it would depend on how Kate was feeling and whether the doctors gave their approval.

William's wife is currently still undergoing treatment. In March, she announced that she was undergoing preventive chemotherapy. In June, she spoke about having "good and bad days" but also hoped to be able to participate in some public appearances over the summer. According to British media reports, it is planned that Kate will spend the summer holidays with William and their three children - Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9), and Prince Louis (6) - in Scotland, as per tradition, with King Charles III (75) and his wife, Queen Camilla (77), at Balmoral Castle. It is currently not known when she will officially return to her royal duties.

Support from the Crowd at the Summer Olympics

Given her love for sports and the fact that she finds strength in small victories, it's not surprising that Princess Kate expresses interest in attending the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The Games offer a unique opportunity for her to be surrounded by the supportive energy of the crowd, which could provide an uplifting experience.

Potential Visit to the Summer Olympics

Given the proximity of the Paris Olympics to London, where Kate attended the 2012 Games with fond memories, it's plausible that she would like to attend this year's event. Her enthusiasm for sports, coupled with the positive impact it has on her, could potentially lead to a visit by the royal couple to the Summer Olympics in 2024.
