- ARD is launching a new talk show with a surprising combo
Without much media fanfare, ARD's first channel will trial a new talk show. The twist: The new format, "Amado, Belli, Biedermann", features an all-female cast and aims to be a media hub "for women who want to exchange ideas, get inspired, and be entertained". It kicks off on September 16, initially airing ten times from Monday to Friday at 4:10 PM.
Intergenerational Talk Format
The channel highlights that the show is an "innovative and intergenerational talk format". The trio of hosts - Marijke Amado, 70, Aminata Belli, 32, and Jeanette Biedermann, 44 - embody a "unique blend of experience, youth, and diverse cultural backgrounds, bringing a fresh approach to talk show hosting".
Amado, as a "60s icon" and the eldest, brings wisdom and charisma. Young moderator and influencer Aminata Belli represents the digital native generation, while singer Jeanette Biedermann bridges the gap between the two worlds.
Aminata Belli's Excitement on Instagram
Aminata Belli has already shared a short video on Instagram with her two new colleagues, dancing to the Spice Girls' hit "Spice Up Your Life". "If someone had told me this as a child!!! Well, well!!! 'Amado, Belli, Biedermann' starts September 16 on ARD," Belli wrote in the caption.
In each episode, the three hosts will invite prominent guests for "open and honest" conversations. Topics will range as widely as life itself, from love and relationships to family, friendship, lifestyle, and celebrity news.
Amado's vast experience and charisma as a 60s icon will provide valuable insights in the intergenerational talk format of "Amado, Belli, Biedermann". Aminata Belli, excited about the show's debut, recently shared a Spice Girls dance video on Instagram, expressing her joy at being part of the trio alongside Amado and Biedermann.
