King Frederik and Queen Mary - Appearance in Greenland's national costume
## Danish Royals in Arctic Summer Weather
On board the royal ship Dannebrog, the Danish Royals, King Frederik X. (56) and Queen Mary (52), headed to the city of Sisimiut in Greenland for their first official visit, as announced by the palace on Instagram. A shared photo shows King Frederik in the black-and-white national attire meant to protect against the icy temperatures. Queen Mary's attire, in contrast, was vibrantly colored, consisting of various colorful patterns, a white collar, and white winter boots.
Warm Welcomes for the Royals
As other photos from the Danish Royal Family reveal, their royal offspring donned lighter winter clothing for the occasion. The locals in Sisimiut welcomed the royals with enthusiastic greetings. Afterward, the Danish Royals continued their visit to the city museum.
Additional agenda items for day four included a visit from Queen Mary to a disability center and a visit from King Frederik to a dog center, accompanied by Prince Vincent. In the afternoon, the Danish Royal Couple attended a school tour at the KTI Tech College of the city.
The Danish Royals will remain in Greenland with their royal yacht Dannebrog until the 6th of July.
During their visit to the disability center, Queen Mary was warmly received by the residents. King Frederik X., along with Prince Vincent, spent time at a local dog center, showing their affection for the canines.
