Thrilling movie titled "The Hunted in the Camorra's Grip" - Antonia and Tobias Moretti's family involvement.

Some time after the TV series "In the Camorra's Web," which aired on ZDF in September 2021, the sequel "The Hunted - In the Camorra" (June 3, 20:15 p.m., ZDF) is now set to continue. Tobias Moretti (age 64) and his daughter Antonia Moretti (age 25, known for "The Pass" and "Landkrimi") reprise their on-screen roles as father-daughter duo Matteo and Laura DeCanin. This time, Antonia's role has become more significant.

What Happened in the TV Series "In the Camorra's Web"

The new thriller picks up from where the previous two films left off. Winemaker Matteo DeCanin (played by Tobias Moretti) lives a happy life with his wife Stefania (portrayed by Ursina Lardi, age 53) and daughter Laura (Antonia Moretti) in South Tyrol. Suddenly, Matteo's old friend Nino Sorrentino (Fabrizio Romagnoli, born 1969) appears at his door, making Matteo confront the dark side of his Mafia past. The family's life turns upside down...

Discussing the story, Tobias Moretti mentioned in a 2021 interview with spot on news, "This story is essentially a family drama, with the Mafia elements being secondary. The most fundamental aspect of a person is their family - whether they're lucky enough to have one or not."

On the subject of working alongside his daughter in their first joint acting performance, Tobias Moretti said, "It was no different from working with any other colleague. I couldn't tell the difference. The cameraman recommended Antonia, and she impressed during the casting. At first, it seemed like she might not have time due to her studies. She's studying physiotherapy. During filming, she exceeded my expectations."

At that time, it was uncertain where Antonia's career would go, Tobias Moretti said, "We don't know if she'll become a professional actress. She'll be a physiotherapist first. Acting interests her, but her studies are equally important to her. She also studied jazz singing in New York. At 23 years old, she has many options in life."

Since then, the decision has been made - and viewers can witness the fruit of their hard work in "The Hunted - In the Camorra."

What's Happening in "The Hunted - In the Camorra" Sequel

Matteo, tormented by his guilt over Stefania's death and drowning his sorrow in alcohol, tries to cope with his past Mafia connections. Meanwhile, their daughter Laura (Antonia Moretti) resents her father and longs to escape the island isolation of their witness protection program.

Laura manages to escape, and Matteo's worst fears come true when Laura falls into the hands of the Camorra. A race against time ensues...

This third film features not only the phenomenal performances of the Morettis but also those of former "Vorstadtweiber" star Gerti Drassl (age 46), portraying the heavily pregnant Mafia boss Antonia Romano, and Harald Windisch (born 1966) as the disillusioned police commissioner Adrin Erlacher.
