- Anticipating the debut of his "Riverboat" project.
This coming Friday evening (August 23rd), the well-known MDR show "Riverboat" comes back from its summer vacation - the first time with Joachim Llambi (60) as the host. "Today's the day!!! I'm buzzing with anticipation and excitement for our guests," Llambi posted on Instagram this morning.
A day prior, Llambi had mentioned: "The excitement's brewing, and I can't wait for my first MDR Riverboat show with the fantastic Kim Fisher (a sensational colleague)! I'm also hyped about our stellar guests and engaging discussions."
Kim Fisher (55), who's been a part of the talk show since 1998, is equally thrilled about her new co-host's debut. On the eve of the premiere, she shared a video with Llambi on Instagram, set to Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side." In spite of the commotion around them, she reassured viewers that they would both be clearly visible and audible the next day.
The guests Joachim Llambi will introduce in his inaugural "Riverboat" episode are cyclist and Olympic champion Kristina Vogel (33), author Wladimir Kaminer (57), singer Kathy Kelly (61), comedian Bernd Stelter (63), actress Caroline Beil (57), and actors Fritz Karl (56) and Karsten Speck (64).
At least one viewer is certain to catch Llambi's debut: his "Let's Dance" jury colleague Motsi Mabuse (43). She responded to his post, mentioning she'd be tuning in and wishing him luck.
Besides Kim Fisher, the current "Riverboat" hosting squad includes comedian Matze Knop (49), MDR program director Klaus Brinkbäumer (57), and moderator Wolfgang Lippert (72). The talk show's been airing on MDR since 1992.
Llambi excitedly replied to Fisher's Instagram post, saying, " looking forward to working with you and the stellar guests tomorrow night on 'Riverboat'." The day after the show, Llambi was expected to share his thoughts, saying, " I can't wait to reflect on our successful debut and share my excitement about 'Looking forward to the next episode.'"
