King Charles and Queen Camilla - Animal surprise for the king

King Charles III (75) and Queen Camilla (76) are currently on a visit to the Channel Islands. On July 15, the British monarch couple were guests on the island of Jersey. There, the two seemed to be openly enjoying themselves, as reported by the British BBC. According to Royal Expert Emily Ferguson on X, Charles received seven young cows as a gift during his visit. The cows, which "represent an excellent cross-section of the leading herds in Jersey", will find a new home on "Home Farm" on Charles' estate Highgrove.

Two "playful" cows cause laughter

The animals have already managed to win over their new owner's heart. For a particularly amusing moment, according to the Daily Express, two of the cows that behaved particularly "playfully" in front of the king and queen, reportedly amused Charles and Camilla. The queen laughed heartily with the other surrounding visitors, as photos show.

She not only attracted attention with her laughter, but also with her light blue midi dress made of silk by Anna Valentine. Her good mood seemed to be unaffected by even a light rain. Together with Charles, Camilla participated in a special session of the States Assembly, the parliament of the island, on the Royal Square of St. Helier. In his speech, the British monarch reportedly said: "Jersey has one of the oldest connections to the Crown and we are delighted to be back here to celebrate this special and close relationship that binds us." In total, the king and queen are staying on the Channel Islands for two days.
