From Platinum Blonde to Pink: Robert Andrich Surprises Again with New Hair Color

Andrich surprises again with bright hair

Robert Andrich goes bold with his hair color once again. The German National Team (DFB) star surprises before the EURO 2020 quarterfinal against Spain with freshly dyed hair. A hint for the opposing team?

That's quite noticeable! Robert Andrich has always had great hair - or at least attention-grabbing. While the defender already surprised during the EURO 2020 with platinum blonde hair, he has now tried something new again. At the final training session of the DFB team before the quarterfinal match against Spain (tomorrow, 18:00/ARD, MagentaTV and in the ntv.de live ticker), he ran over the grass with pink-colored hair.

Color-wise, that would certainly be quite striking for the DFB team's away kit, which also shines in pink and lavender. However, the team of national coach Julian Nagelsmann plays in white at home in Stuttgart. The white jersey has been used three times in the tournament so far, including in the successful round of 16 against Denmark (2:0). The popular pink-lavender shirt was worn by captain Ilkay Gündogan and Co. only in the victory in the group stage against Hungary (2:0). It is the most frequently sold away kit in the history of the DFB.

It was not the first time that Andrich surprised with a new hairdo. Before the round of 16 against Denmark (2:0), he appeared with platinum blonde hair. "I've been thinking about it for a while, I wanted to dye my hair again. For those who have been following me for a long time or my friends and family, they're not surprised," the 29-year-old had said.

Perhaps the new hair color is also a signal to Spain - the Red Fury. "We will do everything for the country, for the coaching team, for all of us who can win the title. That's our motivation," said Jamal Musiala at Sky.

Nagelsmann can plan with Jonathan Tah in defense again for the fifth tournament game against the best team in the tournament so far, Spain. The Leverkusen player has served his yellow card suspension against Denmark and could return for Nico Schlotterbeck in the starting lineup. The most pressing personnel question remains in the offense. Will Leroy Sané start again? Or will the national coach once again opt for young star Florian Wirtz? Andrich will surely stand in the starting lineup with pink-colored hair.

The DFB team's defender, Robert Andrich, turned heads with his pink hair during the final training session before the quarterfinal against Spain, continuing his tradition of attention-grabbing hair transformations. Andrich had previously surprised everyone with platinum blonde hair during EURO 2020, emphasizing the team's away kit's pink and lavender colors.
