"Being watched over by an angel with icy eyes" (This is a direct variation of the given headline, using different words to describe the same concept.) - Amanda Knox found guilty in Italy for making false accusations.

Amanda Knox, who's nicknamed "the girl with ice-blue eyes," faced charges once again in an Italian court ten years after she was acquitted in a high-profile murder trial. The appeals court in Florence upheld her previous conviction for libel, resulting in another three years behind bars. However, she won't have to return to prison as she's already served her sentence during her initial arrest in 2007.

Knox, now aged 36 and living in her hometown with a husband and two children, broke down in tears upon hearing the news. She came back to Italy specifically for this trial, hoping to put this judgment behind her.

The murder of Meredith Kercher, a 21-year-old British student, shook the world in 2007 when it took place in the central Italian city of Perugia. Knox and her roommate, along with her boyfriend, were quickly suspected and initially convicted, resulting in Knox spending four years in prison. But in 2015, both were acquitted of the murder charge.

The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg overturned the defamation conviction, leading to the Italian court's reconsideration of the case. Unfortunately for Knox, justice didn't favor her this time around.

The case is still unsolved. A 20-year-old man, convicted as an accomplice to murder due to his fingerprints at the crime scene, is now free. The infamous Amanda Knox story has been the topic of various books, films, and series.
