Allow me to introduce: Hi and Hallo

Anyone appearing at 'Bares fu r Rares' should introduce themselves properly - otherwise they might encounter Horst Lichter's mocking. This happened to a young couple.

Bares for Rares - Allow me to introduce: Hi and Hallo

Melina Ruppelt and Dustin Goldbeck are getting married soon. To boost their wedding fund, the couple from Danndorf want to sell a ring at "Bares für Rares". But before the appraisal begins, there's a greeting. The two shake Horst Lichter's hand and say briefly "Hi" and "Hello".

The host is momentarily confused and says to Heide Rezepa-Zabel, "May I introduce: Hi and Hallo." After a brief confusion, the guests introduce themselves properly, allowing the appraisal to begin.

"Bares für Rares": The Ring belonged to Grandma

The ring in question is an heirloom of Ruppelt's grandmother, which the young woman doesn't wish to use as a wedding ring. Rezepa-Zabel explains that it's a ring set with diamonds and synthetic rubies, made of 585er Gold, cast. The expert dates it to the 1950s, but it was industrially produced.

The bride sets her pain threshold at 200 Euro. This amount should be achievable: The gold value, according to Rezepa-Zabel, is only 180 Euro. The total value is estimated to be between 250 and 300 Euro. The couple-to-be are more than satisfied with the appraisal.

When Melina Ruppelt approaches the counter with her jewelry box, Walter Lehnertz already senses what's coming. "It's going to get expensive now," Lehnertz predicts, "Waldi". Daniel Meyer starts bidding at 150 Euro. With most dealers joining in, the price quickly rises to 270 Euro. Meyer buys the ring for this sum.

Thus, the engaged couple is content: "We can finance our wedding further with this," Dustin Goldbeck remarks afterwards.

Bares for Rares host Heide Rezepa-Zabel confirms that the ring, made of 585er Gold and industrially produced in the 1950s, is estimated to bring between 250 and 300 Euro at auction.
