Allegations of team sabotage directed at Hamilton shock Wolff

Are whispers circulating about Lewis Hamilton being unfairly treated at Mercedes? Even hints of sabotage towards him within Mercedes have surfaced, leading to the involvement of the law enforcement. Team principal Toto Wolff acknowledges that Mercedes is looking into the matter, including the investigation of IP addresses.

Following the accusation of sabotage against Mercedes, Wolff, in a heated press conference for the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, advised to those causing online distress, "Seek help from a psychiatrist, you lot are driving me crazy!" The police are now investigating, Wolff asserted.

Two weeks prior to this, an anonymous email was sent to credited journalists and FIA officials. The email contained allegations, among other things, against Wolff as team principal, claiming a "systematic sabotage" against Hamilton in favor of George Russell. Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, is alleged to have been ostracized and mistreated.

Mercedes is reportedly taking decisive action against the anonymous sender. Hamilton himself stated he hadn't personally seen the email on the previous day. To maintain peace, he put Russell under protection and urged his Formula-1 supporters on social media to stay calm. Hamilton commented, "Emotions can run high, we need support, not negativity. I wasn't even aware of the negative experiences George has faced. George puts his best foot forward every weekend and continues to evolve with the team, no accusations can be made against him."

"Unfortunately, this is the reality we face"

Wolff underscored the team's desire to win the Constructors' Championship this year, stating that two reliable cars are essential for such victory. Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur, a close ally of Wolff, agrees with him on the sabotage allegation, labeling it "completely illogical". Russell himself stated he hasn't noticed any harmful comments on social media, adding, "It's unfortunate, but that's simply 'the world we live in'. Anyone in the public eye has to face such issues."

Currently, Hamilton stands at eighth place in the driver standings, 14 points behind Russell. Throughout this season's qualifying races, Hamilton consistently finishes behind the 26-year-old Russell. After a disappointing qualifying session in Monaco at the end of May, Hamilton expressed frustration, "I didn't anticipate to beat George in qualifying this season." Since then, rumors of Mercedes favoring Russell, as he would be with the team longer, have surfaced.

In light of the allegations, Mercedes has reportedly initiated disciplinary actions against the anonymous individual who sent the damaging email. Despite the accusations, Lewis Hamilton commends his teammate George Russell, stating, "George puts his best foot forward every weekend and continues to evolve with the team, no accusations can be made against him." Meanwhile, in the scintillating world of Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton continues to compete in the prestigious league, with his team, Mercedes AMG, and his arch-rival, George Russell, both driving Formula 1 cars, specifically, Formula 1's Formula 1, competing in the high-stakes Formula 1 races, such as the Spanish Grand Prix.
