Alcaraz conquers Sinner who is struggling with cramps.

Carlos Alcaraz claims victory in showdown against Jannik Sinner, making his way to the French Open finals for the very first time. The match between these young tennis stars was filled with twists and turns, neither one playing particularly flawlessly throughout the game.

Alcaraz broke a record for the youngest player to reach a Grand Slam final in the professional era across all three surfaces: sand, grass, and hardcourt. He boasts two Grand Slam wins under his belt, having taken home the trophy at the US Open 2022 and Wimbledon 2023. On Sunday, at the Stade Roland Garros, he'll battle it out with either German gold medallist Alexander Zverev or Norwegian Casper Ruud for the ultimate title. The remaining semifinal will go down in the evening on the famous Court Philippe Chatrier.

Dynamic Duo

Before the match, Alcaraz raved about Sinner, calling him the best current player in the world. Sinner definitely lived up to the hype with a superb start, nabbing two sets after just 16 minutes, leading by two breaks. The audience erupted in enthusiastic applause for Alcaraz as he stumbled at the beginning. In the second set, Alcaraz finally found his footing and took control of the long rallies. Sinner, fresh off an injury, struggled with first serves, made several errors, and his movement was less than precise.

Nonetheless, Sinner gathered himself together and mastered the third set. The unfortunate news was his arm and leg both gave out, so he had to call in a physiotherapist. Physically drained, he was unable to contain Alcaraz's energetic play.

The fourth set had to be postponed briefly when someone in the spectator section fainted. During the break, Alcaraz shouted, "Bring them water," trying to soothe the situation. Alcaraz and Sinner formed the youngest Grand Slam semifinal when it comes to the age of the duo, since 2008 when Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray faced each other in the semifinals of the US Open.
