The news of his passing was announced by his family on April 28. The obituary states that he succumbed to colon cancer and passed away peacefully in Longueuil, Canada.

A Career in Villainy and Sci-fi

Scarfe began his career in the 1970s on stage. He played many villainous roles, including in "Lethal Weapon 3" and the action film "Double Impact" (original title: "Explosive Force") from 1991, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Scarfe's skills were also showcased in Sci-fi TV series. He featured in single episodes of "The Next Generation" and "Voyager" in the "Star Trek" universe.

Scarfe once shared thoughts about his work in Sci-fi in a 2007 interview, stating, "Science fiction in film and television, especially when playing an extraterrestrial character with incredible makeup, is a perfect fit for actors with a strong theatrical background. These productions need drama and intensity in the performance, and as a Klingon, being overly expressive is just not feasible."
