AirlineRatings.com announces top airline worldwide for 2024.

Qatar Airways' flights don't always turn out how you'd hope - remember the incident when twelve people were hurt during a flight from Doha to Dublin due to turbulence? - but this airline that flies the Qatari flag keeps on getting high rankings on global airline rankings. Recently, it was named the world's best airline by AirlineRatings.com, a safety and product rating agency based in Australia.

After handing over its title in 2023 to Air New Zealand, Qatar Airways now regains its throne. This airline is evaluated using 12 criteria, which include safety and product rating, fleet age, profitability, serious incidents, innovation, forward fleet orders, and passenger reviews from various sources. The judging panel, consisting of five experienced editors led by AirlineRatings.com Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Thomas, boasts over a hundred years of industry experience.

Thomas said, "Qatar Airways came out on top in many aspects. It was a close competition for the top ten, but the passenger reviews pushed Qatar Airways above the rest. The consistency and high quality of their services really shone through in the feedback."

Award-winning airlines:

Singapore Airlines took home the award for Best First Class, while Qatar Airways was recognized for Best Business Class. Emirates won Best Premium Economy, and Air New Zealand bagged the award for Best Economy Class. Qatar Airways won the Best Catering award, and Virgin Australia got the award for Best Cabin Crew. Qantas won the award for Best Lounges.
