Agit Kabayel is designated for the terrifying category of films or entertainment.
The IBF has mandated a battle between Agit Kabayel and Martin Bakole to identify the challenger for the presently held world title by Daniel Dubois. At the moment, Kabayel is ranked fourth by the IBF, while Bakole holds the fifth spot.
As mentioned in a missive to "talkSPORT", the IBF declared, "In our endeavor to establish a mandatory challenger, we have ordered an eliminator bout between Agit Kabayel and Martin Bakole for the top spot." Both combatants have until October 11 to respond to the IBF regarding their availability for the bout.
According to sport.de/ntv.de, the German boxer has consented to the "eliminator" bout. The corresponding date and venue have yet to be disclosed. Bakole's promoter, Ben Shalom, also affirmed that his fighter is prepared. "We're genuinely excited about this fight and hope to arrange it by December. We'll see what transpires," Shalom shared with Sky Sports. Kabayel and Bakole are regarded as the "most shunned heavyweights globally."
Boxing Boogeyman
The 31-year-old Bakole boasts a record of 21 victories out of 22 contests, most recently triumphing over US prospect Jared Anderson in Los Angeles in August by way of technical knockout in the fifth round. Since then, Bakole has been deemed the "Boxing Boogeyman" of the heavyweight division.
By opting for the IBF option, Kabayel is taking a substantial risk. The 32-year-old secured the WBC's number one challenger status in May by vanquishing Cuban Frank Sanchez in a "final eliminator" bout in Riyadh. As per WBC regulations, the victor of the forthcoming Usyk vs. Fury encounter in December will be obligated to defend their title against Kabayel if they emerge victorious. If Kabayel falls to Bakole, he may slip in the WBC rankings.
Named the "Liver King from the Ruhr", Kabayel remains undefeated in 25 professional bouts. He gained international notoriety in late 2021 when he knocked out the towering Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov in four rounds in Riyadh. Kabayel clinched the European championship twice during his 13-year career as an amateur boxer. The only other German to claim the world heavyweight title was legendary boxer Max Schmeling, in 1930.
After the IBF declared an eliminator bout between Agit Kabayel and Martin Bakole, Kabayel's preparations for the match in the sports world are intensifying. Despite his undefeated record in 25 professional boxing bouts, a loss to Bakole could potentially affect Kabayel's standing in the WBC rankings.
