Nina Ensmann - After baby break, she shoots "GZSZ" again
The baby break is over: Nina Ensmann (39) is back on the set of "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten". The actress, who plays the role of Jessica Reichelt in the RTL series, announced this on Instagram with a photo of herself holding her son.
Nina Ensmann and her partner Marc Demmig became parents for the first time in February. The couple had announced their pregnancy and maternity leave in October 2023. Fans can therefore look forward to the return of Jessica Reichelt in the "GZSZ" neighborhood. According to Ensmann in an interview with RTL, she had already started filming on July 2nd.
Nina Ensmann is excited to see her colleagues
She's not excited: "It's great to be able to be back at work and play wonderful stories around Jessica again", so the actress. She particularly missed the exchange with colleagues during her maternity leave.
"Of course I had contact with many during my maternity leave, but less intensively, as I was traveling a lot. And it's never as intense as when you see each other almost every day." The young family had traveled approximately through Scandinavia with a camper after the birth.
Nina Ensmann raves about motherhood
Returning to work so quickly, Nina Ensmann seems to manage it easily. "We're lucky that there's nothing crazy going on at home. Everything runs quite smoothly", she explains. "Marc and I work together as a team. We discuss things and coordinate together. My husband takes care of me and the little one."
The best part of being a mother, according to Ensmann, is "the moment when I wake up in the morning". She raves: "The little one is already awake next to me and smiles at me. We tell each other what we dreamed about and laugh a lot! My son laughs just as much and as much as I do, that's great."
She manages to combine motherhood and work
Overwhelmed, Nina Ensmann feels never: "There's only one thing that sometimes challenges me: when I feel like I have to take care of everyone at the same time. Sometimes it just happens that the little one is doing something silly and crying (...) and at the same time Marc needs my ear or asks me something. Giving equal attention to both boys can be quite challenging."
Whether she manages to combine motherhood and her job, Nina Ensmann leaves it up to herself. "I'm very optimistic and for me, having a job and a child is not out of the question. I will be supported by loving people and I think we'll manage it well."
