Adam Levine returns to "The Voice" while Kelsea Ballerini joins as a new coach.
On a recent Wednesday, it was unveiled that Maroon 5's frontman Adam Levine would be making a comeback to NBC's singing challenge. Plus, a fresh face would be joining the roster, as country and pop artist/songwriter Kelsea Ballerini was revealed as the new coach.
This information was made public through the show's Instagram account.
For the announcement concerning Levine, a video was posted which began with pleas from social media asking the producers to bring him back, reaching a Finale with a post from fellow former coach and bud, Blake Shelton.
The accompanying text on the video stated, "the OG is back in the building. Welcome @adamlevine BACK to #TheVoice for Spring 2025!"
"Well, we're back," Levine can then be seen declaring. "We're coming back. I'm coming back, what I mean."
"I can't wait," he said. "I'm well-rested. I'm ready to go."
He playfully grumbles that his return might make things challenging for the teams overseen by other coaches, then jokingly expresses worry, only to follow up by saying, "I'm not nervous."
"But I'm so excited!" Levine enthused. "It's gonna be great! I can't wait. It's gonna be awesome. Let's go!"
Additionally, a few photos of Ballerini during her time on "The Voice" were shared alongside captions, such as "first ever coach of the comeback stage, to an advisor, to a fill in, to AN OFFICIAL COACH ON THE VOICE SPRING 2025 Welcome #TeamKelsea!"
Levine is originally one of the coaches from the show, but he left the program at the conclusion of Season 16 in 2019.
