Kylie Minogue - Accidentally announced tour?

Their concert series in Las Vegas came to an end in May 2024 after half a year and 20 performances. Now, Kylie Minogue (56) wants to go on tour again. She revealed this in a Radio interview with Sender Fox from Melbourne. The interviewers asked her if she would soon be touring her homeland again. "I'd say Yes" was her response. "Yes. The answer is yes", she confirmed later. She is currently in the process of working out the details.

Kylie Minogue then rowed back. Perhaps she had slipped up live on air. "Perhaps I shouldn't have said that", she remarked. "But yes", she confirmed the news later.

Australian fans are particularly excited

The news will be particularly welcome to her Australian fans. After all, the Splendour in the Grass festival was recently cancelled. The local heroine was supposed to perform at the event, which was scheduled for the next weekend.

In Australia, Kylie Minogue had not appeared live on stage for more than five years. In the context of her "Golden Tour", she last performed in Down Under in March 2019. Her last tour, which she promoted her Greatest-Hits-Album "Step Back in Time" from Summer 2019 to Spring 2020, only took place in Europe.

A dream for her sold-out tour through her homeland is something Kylie Minogue has already had. She wants to fill the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The stadium in her birthplace can accommodate more than 100,000 people.

Kylie Minogue also has enough new material for a upcoming tour. Although her latest album "Tension" with the superhit "Padam Padam" only came out in September 2023, she is already working on a new album.

Kylie Minogue's revealed intentions to embark on a tour again after her Las Vegas stint, sparking excitement among her Australian fans. This comes as a relief following the cancellation of the Splendour in the Grass festival, where she was scheduled to perform. Melbourne, being her birthplace, holds a special place in her heart, and she dreams of filling the Melbourne Cricket Ground, capable of accommodating over 100,000 people, during her homecoming tour. Despite the recent release of her album "Tension" in September 2023, Kylie is already immersed in creating new music for her upcoming tour.
