A copy of Johnny Wactor's death certificate has recently been released, revealing that he was cremated and his ashes were given to his mother, Scarlett Wactor, residing in Summerville, South Carolina. The "General Hospital" star passed away on May 25th, 2024, after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest at around 3:25 a.m. in Los Angeles, which was later determined to be the cause of his death. His death was classified as a homicide.

At the time of Wactor's demise, his brother Grant expressed his grief, emphasizing the kindness of the deceased actor. "He was a good person," he shared, "but he was taken from us too soon and no one should be killed in this way. He touched many lives, and he lived his life according to his principles and was content with it."

Wactor had earned acclaim for his role as Brando Corbin in "General Hospital," while also featuring in various other popular TV series including "Army Wives," "NCIS," "Westworld," "Training Day," and "Criminal Minds."

Following his tragic passing, "General Hospital" shared a somber tribute on their official Instagram account. "Our hearts are heavy with the sad news of the early death of Johnny Wactor," the post shared, "who was a truly beautiful and unique soul. It was a pleasure to work with him every day, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this challenging time."

The actor's sudden death occurred on May 25th, 2024, as he discovered three men attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car. Upon finding them, a skirmish took place. The law enforcement was notified of the occurrence and discovered a man with a chest gunshot wound, later identified as Wactor. He was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

In the wake of the shocking news, a crowdfunding appeal was launched on "gofundme" to support Wactor's family financially. The initiative was initiated by his godmother, who penned a heartfelt message on the campaign page, expressing her anguish over the loss of the loving soul, "On May 25th, I lost my dearest friend's son, Johnny. Johnny was a wonderful person who is now gone too soon. Justice must be served for this lovely soul."
