Michelle and Eric Philippi Are In Spotlight - A couple discloses their intentions to adopt.

52-year-old singer Michelle and her partner Eric Philippi (27) have been openly expressing their love for about a year now. In a recent episode of "stern TV am Sonntag" on June 2nd, they discussed the possibility of adopting a child. Michelle has three daughters from her previous relationships, while Eric has never had children.

The topic of marriage wasn't brought up by the couple. Eric shared, "Michelle can no longer have children." But they both agree that they wish to provide a home for a child in need. They appreciate the flexibility of current times, where it's possible to create a meaningful life for a child who has faced difficult circumstances. Michelle added, "It's an amazing opportunity for me to give a child a better life."

Regarding marriage, they seem adamant about keeping the details private for now. "We're not talking about marriage today," said Eric.

Their Relationship Was Revealed on a Show Hosted by Florian Silbereisen

Back in April 2023, Michelle and Eric Philippi publicly confirmed their relationship on Florian Silbereisen's "Schlagerbooom" show. The pair has been working together both personally and professionally. They also released a single titled "Falsch Dich zu lieben" together in December 2023. In October 2023, Michelle revisited the idea of retiring from her career, mentioning her plans to perform live with her band but acknowledging that "Flutlicht" (releasing on July 5, 2024) would be her last album.

Michelle's early life was marked by hardships. She lived with multiple foster families and even spent time on the streets. She also faced domestic violence in her childhood years. "Sometimes I would sleep at a friend's house but would then come back to the streets during the day to work in a bar and earn some money," she recalled of her past experiences. Michelle experienced yet another setback in 2003 with a stroke, yet she quickly returned to performing on stage. She admitted, "I should have taken better care of myself."

Her personal life has not always been stable. Michelle has been married twice, each time resulting in a daughter. One of her ex-husbands was Matthias Reim (66), a colleague with whom she also had a child.
