sports car - 1000 PS and more: These cars belong to the strongest and fastest in the world

People who have often played Auto Quartet in the past may enjoy this comparison: Which Cars are currently the fastest and strongest that can be bought for money? A deck of cards from the Nineties would look rather old compared to the current vehicles. A thousand PS was once something quite special, with manufacturers outdoing each other with increasingly extreme drivetrains.

The Strongest Series Car in the World

The spearhead is a Vehicle that is still being delivered. With the Koenigsegg Gemera, the Swedish brand aims to put the most extreme vehicle on wheels that can be driven on the road with a regular license plate.

With a combination of Electric- and V8-Drive, the car should bring an incredible 2300 PS and press the occupants into their seats with 2750 Newtonmeters of torque. The first customers can expect delivery in 2025, provided a previously unknown sum in millions has been paid beforehand.

Unfortunately, Koenigsegg keeps the vehicle data a secret. How fast it sprints to 100 km/h and when the tachometer hits the red line is currently unknown. Fact is: It will be damn fast.

Purists are dying out

What most cars have in common with insane system performance is a combination of Electric- and Gasoline engines. It is extremely difficult to achieve such incredible acceleration with it.

But with the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, you can only get over 1000 PS with gasoline. You shouldn't be too concerned about the fuel consumption, though: The company CEO himself calls the car's thirst "terrible".

Perhaps that's also the reason why the Demon SRT is the last hurrah for V8s for the company. Because the future of Challenger and Charger is electric.

Electric Power

That's not surprising, because it seems you can relatively easily put PS-Protz (pardon, kW-Protz) on the wheels with a battery. So you'll find numerous Electric vehicles in this overview that can hold their own in terms of power against the Million-Dollar Supercars – in terms of sound and emotion, however, they will never come close to the relentless growl of V- or W-Motors.

The Koenigsegg Gemera, a high-performance vehicle from Koenigsegg Automotive AB, is aiming to be the most extreme road-legal vehicle, boasting an incredible 2300 PS and 2750 Newtonmeters of torque, making it a prime example of an automatic sports car.

Despite its impressive stats, the exact performance figures of the Gemera, such as its 0-100 km/h speed and maximum RPM, remain a secret, but it's guaranteed to be extremely fast.
