The Italian actress Maria Rosaria Omaggio is deceased. The Neapolitan native passed away on lunedì, following a prolonged illness, at the age of 67 in her Rome residence, as the family reported. Omaggio appeared in over 40 film and television productions, including in Woody Allen's Roman film "Amore in Roma" (To Rome With Love). In her hometown, she was also among the renowned theater actors.
Her most famous international film is "L'uomo Della Speranza" (Walesa. Man of Hope) by Andrzej Wajda about the Polish labor leader Lech Walesa from the year 2013. In this film, Omaggio portrayed the Italian star journalist Oriana Fallaci (1929-2006). At the Venice Film Festival, she received an award for her performance.
Omaggio was also an ambassador for UNICEF. She did not have children of her own.
