ZDF crime thriller ahead of Silbereisen's Advent show

"Ein starkes Team" wins the ratings on TV on Saturday evening. Schlager star Silbereisen and show host Gottschalk have to line up behind them.

TV ratings - ZDF crime thriller ahead of Silbereisen's Advent show

A crime thriller and contemplation were among the most popular prime-time television programs on Saturday. ZDF was ahead in the ratings with the Berlin crime series "Ein starkes Team": 6.16 million tuned in (24.2 percent).

It was followed by the classic "Das Adventsfest der 100.000 Lichter". Schlager star Florian Silbereisen traditionally rings in the Advent season with the ARD show. This year's guests included Maite Kelly, Mireille Mathieu - and the Nuremberg Christ Child. This was watched by 5.03 million people on television (21.5 percent).

One week after his "Wetten, dass...?" farewell, show host Thomas Gottschalk appeared on RTL on Saturday. There he hosted "Disney 100 - Die große Jubiläumsshow" together with Victoria Swarovski. 1.62 million viewers tuned in (6.9 percent).

The music costume show "The Masked Singer" attracted 1.57 million viewers (6.7 percent) on ProSieben. Vox showed the Christmas movie "Das Wunder von Manhattan" to 940,000 viewers (3.8 percent).

On Sat.1, 840,000 people watched the comedy "Kindsköpfe" (3.4 percent). RTLzwei showed the film "Last Samurai" to 630,000 viewers (2.6 percent). Another classic was shown on ZDFneo: "Gladiator" was watched by 530,000 viewers (2.1 percent). Kabel eins showed the crime thriller "FBI: Special Crime Unit", which attracted 600,000 viewers (2.7 percent).
