The YouTube topics of the year in Germany include the accusations against Rammstein singer Till Lindemann (60), Rihanna's (35) half-time show at the Super Bowl and survival formats such as "7 vs Wild". This was announced by the video platform on November 30.

The "Top Trending Video" from Germany is therefore from Kayla Shyx (21). Published at the beginning of June, the video entitled "What really happens at Rammstein after-parties" was not only widely discussed and commented on, but also viewed more than six million times. Her colleague Rezo (31) also picked up on reports and accusations against Lindemann in his own video, which took third place among the "Top Trending Videos". The singer had denied all accusations. A preliminary investigation against Lindemann was dropped by the Berlin public prosecutor's office in the summer, according to a press release from the singer's lawyers.

In second place is "The Man in the Moon - Act 1 (Songs from the Bean)" by Julien Bam (35). Fourth place goes to the complete half-time show by superstar Rihanna at this year's Super Bowl. In fifth place is a statement video by Fritz Meinecke (34) on the ejection of animal filmmaker Andreas Kieling (64) from the survival format "7 vs. Wild".

This is followed by "Private jets, yachts, caviar: How do the super-rich influence the climate?" from the radio channel Strg_F in sixth place and the first episode of the survival series "Arctic Warrior" by OttoBulletproof in eighth place. The evaluation included views from Germany for videos uploaded this year - excluding trailers, music videos and videos for children.

Meanwhile, one US YouTuber was also able to collect the most subscribers in Germany: Jimmy Donaldson (25) - probably better known to many as MrBeast. A fixture in the YouTube world for years, he currently has more than 215 million subscribers. He is followed in the top five by the channels of Finnel (19), "7 vs. Wild", "Noel Dederich's Shorts" and YouTuber Jules.
