Great excitement before Taylor Swift's (34) concerts in Germany: On Wednesday evening (14th of July), the US pop singer is set to perform her first of three concerts in Gelsenkirchen. Thousands of "Swifties" have been lining up since the morning hours in front of Veltins Arena. Swift reportedly arrived in Germany a few hours before the show.
Taylor Swift arrives in Germany
According to the "Bild" newspaper, Taylor Swift's private jet landed at Duesseldorf's General Aviation Terminal (GAT) on Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 PM. This is an executive terminal that handles approximately 12,000 flights with private and business jets per year. The flight apparently came from Milan, Italy, where Swift performed on the 9th and 10th of July.
Taylor Swift is reported to have worn blue jeans and Riemchen-Wedges with cork platform soles when she arrived. Swift and her entourage reportedly left the airport and went into the city center unnoticed. The singer is said to be staying at the luxurious Hotel Breidenbacher Hof in Duesseldorf.
The drive from there to the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, or "Swiftkirchen" as the city has renamed itself in her honor, takes roughly an hour and a half. The concert begins on Wednesday evening at 6:15 PM with the opening act Paramore, and Taylor Swift is expected on stage around 8 PM. She typically performs for approximately three and a half hours.
Seven concerts in Germany
Taylor Swift will perform at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen from Wednesday to Friday (17th to 19th of July). Approximately 60,000 fans are expected at each show. On the 23rd and 24th of July, she will perform at Hamburg's Volksparkstadion, and on the 27th and 28th of July at Munich's Olympiastadion.
Following this, she will travel to Warsaw and Vienna before concluding the European leg of the "Eras Tour" with five concerts at London's Wembley Stadium.
After landing at Duesseldorf's GAT, Taylor Swift, the US-Pop Singer, was seen disembarking from her private jet around 1:30 PM. Prior to her concert at Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Swift reportedly stayed at the luxurious Hotel Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf. Despite her arrival causing a stir, Swift and her entourage managed to leave the airport undetected and head to the city center.
