Your domestic ox is contemplating mortality

Uwe Ochsenknecht is still roaring in the acting world, currently starring in the cinema flick "The Irony of Life". In this movie, he portrays an older comedian who reunites with his former spouse, but the twist is, her character, played by Corinna Harfouch, is battling a terminal cancer diagnosis.

Off-screen, the veteran actor acknowledges the inevitability of death in his personal life, sharing his thoughts in a "Bild" newspaper piece. He considers death as an integrated part of his life, stating it's inevitable to confront.

In a candid conversation, Ochsenknecht mentioned he's in the latter part of his life, making time even more significant. He wishes to confront his fear of the unknown and be mentally prepared when the time comes. With a thoughtful smile, he admitted that death is inevitable for everyone.

No retirement in his future plans

He has even drafted his will, but the circumstances surrounding his demise hold no interest for him. Ochsenknecht sees the human body as just waste after death. Yet, the actor ponders over the concept of an afterlife.

Surprisingly, despite these contemplations, Ochsenknecht expresses his love for life and his desire to live as long as possible. He has no plans to retire from acting and wants to continue his acting career as long as he can.

The German thespian started in the acting scene back in the 70s, skyrocketing to fame with films like "Das Boot" (1981) and "Men" (1985). His personal life, particularly his divorce from former model Natascha Ochsenknecht, became tabloid news, with whom he was married from 1993 to 2012 and shares three children – Wilson Gonzalez, Jimi Blue, and Cheyenne Savannah. He also has a son named Rocco Stark from a prior relationship. Since 2017, Ochsenknecht is happily married again.

The success of "The Irony of Life" further solidifies Uwe Ochsenknecht's love for film acting. Despite contemplating his mortality, he has no intention of retiring from the cinematic world, continuing to create memorable roles on the big screen.
