- "Yellowstone": German fans must wait for new episodes
German fans of the successful Western series "Yellowstone" must continue to wait for new episodes. A start date for the German-speaking region has not yet been set, according to the streaming service Paramount+ Germany in response to a request from the German Press Agency.
The remaining episodes of season 5 are available in the USA from November 10. The Hollywood strike had prevented filming, so the season was only partially shown and ended abruptly. In Germany, the series, which started in 2018, is now available on several streaming services.
"Yellowstone" by screenwriter Taylor Sheridan with Hollywood star Kevin Costner (69) in the lead role as the family patriarch is a contemporary Western series. Everything revolves around the Dutton family in the US state of Montana on the border with Canada, which runs the Yellowstone ranch.
The mix seems to attract many fans: The ranch fights to preserve its property and stands up to external large investors. It's about living together with the indigenous population. There's plenty of cowboy life with horse, rope, rodeo, and cattle herds. Scenes of the vastness of the USA are shown. There's also sex, intrigue, melancholy, care, hate, love, and dark family secrets. There's also a lot of drinking and many murders and weapons.
Without Kevin Costner
Ironically, the main draw Costner ("Bodyguard", "Robin Hood", "Dancing with Wolves") will likely not be seen again. He had announced on Instagram some time ago that "Yellowstone" was behind him. On August 22, his big project "Horizon" starts in Germany - currently present in many media because Costner is on a promotional tour here - a Western series for the cinema, which fell short of expectations in the USA.
People in Germany are eagerly anticipating the release of new "Yellowstone" episodes, but a specific date hasn't been announced yet. Despite Kevin Costner's departure from the show, his new Western series "Horizon" is generating interest in Germany, where he's currently promoting it.
