The first common son of Laura Maria Rypa and Pietro Lombardi was born in January 2023 six weeks too early. At that time, the 28-year-old had to be treated in the hospital beforehand. Now, the couple is expecting another son.

"The risk that the baby comes before the 34th week of pregnancy is simply too high. That's why I have to stay here, take medications and receive lung maturity treatment", writes Rypa. She explains that a baby's lungs are not yet fully developed before the 34th week. "One shouldn't take unnecessary risks and it's necessary, as with Leano."
It's not clear yet how long she will have to stay in the hospital. "Whether it's three days, a week, or even longer, because premature contractions are present. They are now being treated with labor-stopping medication. It all came so unexpectedly, the pregnancy had been running smoothly and beautifully up until now", so Rypa.
The 28-year-old recently made controversial Instagram comments publicly, where she was accused of exaggerating her situation to generate attention. In another Instagram story, Rypa writes: "Who makes a hype out of this is simply wrong. It's about the health of my baby. I'm incredibly happy and grateful that my husband Pietro Lombardi and my family are providing such great support."
Laura Maria Rypa and Pietro Lombardi have been together since 2020, they got engaged in 2022. With his ex-wife Sarah Engels, Pietro Lombardi has another son, eight-year-old Alessio.
