The Bavarian state capital is set to become a pilgrimage site for fans of British megastar Adele (36) in the coming weeks. The singer will give a total of ten concerts in an pop-up stadium on the grounds of the Munich Trade Fair, which is expected to accommodate more than 70,000 visitors each evening.

Fans camp at gas station for Adele

The show was originally scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, but according to a report by "BR24", it started with a delay of around 45 minutes. Appropriately for the opening, during which the singer reportedly emerged from the floor of the arena surrounded by fog, Adele greeted her fans with one of her biggest hits. "Hello, it's me," sang the Briton - and opened the long-awaited spectacle. After "Hello" came the songs "Rumour Has It" and "I Drink Wine".

Despite long waiting lines and the threat of a storm causing some wrinkles of concern, the atmosphere among fans before the concert was reportedly "great". Some visitors even spent the night at a nearby gas station. In case of a thunderstorm, there was a safety concept in place, but it apparently wasn't needed. Only shortly before the show was there a brief rain shower. As reported by the Munich "Abendzeitung", the weather "defied all warnings" during the performance. The concert ended with a fireworks display.

Issues with entry and parking

The delay at the beginning was apparently due to complications with entry. According to "BR24", there were problems with devices intended to scan concert tickets. "Something went wrong," a security officer told "Focus online". Here, they speak of a "minor technical problem" with the ticketing.

There were also minor inconveniences on the way to the first Adele evening. "There are no more parking options around the fairgrounds. Please use public transportation," the Munich police announced on the social media platform X before the concert began. However, things didn't run smoothly on this route either. According to the "Abendzeitung", the Munich Transport Company (MVG) had to deal with restrictions on several lines before the show.

After struggling with parking issues, some fans resorted to leaving their vehicles at a nearby gas station. Despite the minor technical problem with the ticketing scanners at the entrance, the concert proceeded smoothly, with a brief rain shower only appearing shortly before the show.
