In the interview, she has expressed doubts about her past romantic decisions. "In my thirties, I had two disastrous relationships," she says. That was a time when no one even thought about "Googling someone".
When she looks back, she often wonders, "What the hell was I thinking?" She was with a man who turned out to be in a relationship with someone else just a few weeks later. At that time, she wrote a lot in her diary and only recently re-read her notes from that period. I write more clearly when I'm depressed or unhappy. I don't lean towards writing when I'm really happy, she says, who is now 52.
Upon reading her diaries, she realized how she had simply tried to make sense of things. "It was very sad. I clearly tried to believe in the best and be kind to myself. But I was only concerned about everything else except myself."
From Johnny Depp to Matt Damon
