Why Silbereisen fans should remember January 13
Good news for all Florian Silbereisen fans: The live show "Schlagerchampions" from Berlin on January 13, 2024 is now a done deal. This was announced by a spokesperson for Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) in Leipzig at the request of Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
"Due to technical production processes and the tight time window, there is already a one-off contractual arrangement for this," the broadcaster spokesperson continued. "Hall bookings, ticket sales and the entire professional planning of such a show require appropriate decisions and lead time."
And other shows?
This high ratings entertainment program on the first channel had initially been in limbo due to ongoing contract negotiations at MDR. The Broadcasting Council, which is responsible for further editions of the popular "Feste" series on Ersten with hits and folk music, has yet to make a final decision. This involves four more television evenings in the course of the coming year.
According to the spokesperson, the MDR Broadcasting Council will vote on an overall contract for the year 2024 at its next meeting in early December. This concerns the five festivals with Florian Silbereisen for Das Erste in the calendar year. If the committee agrees, "this one January show will automatically become part of the overall contract", said the spokesperson.
The show series "Feste" on the ARD joint program Das Erste includes several Silbereisen music shows, for example "Das Adventsfest der 100.000 Lichter". Many pop stars appear in the shows. Silbereisen is one of the best-known show stars in the pop music business.
MDR is the ARD broadcaster in charge of this area of entertainment. The collaboration of the long-running show series with presenter and singer Silbereisen (42) was continued for another four years from 2020 - i.e. until the end of 2023.
