Tollwood Festival - Why Lena Meyer-Landrut had to cancel her appearance in Munich
Lena Meyer-Landrut had to cancel her performance in Munich at short notice due to lower abdominal pains. "I wasn't feeling great all day, and then in the evening I got cramp-like stomach and kidney pains, had to hand myself over just before showtime and was then taken to a clinic," the singer wrote on Instagram.
"My conscience is nagging at me, but my body said no," so the 33-year-old. Currently, she is resting and doing everything she can to perform on Sunday evening. A performance is planned at the Baden-Württemberg Landesgartenschau in Wangen.
Lena-Performance cancelled at Munich Tollwood Festival
A concert-goer of the Munich Tollwood Festival reported that the audience had been waiting for the musician's performance and that of her band when an announcement was made that it would take longer because someone had collapsed. Lena was – after performances by singers Tom Twers and Leony – the main act of the evening.
Later, a woman went on stage and announced without giving reasons that the concert had to be cancelled. "It's unbelievably sad that you've waited so long and have to leave disappointed," Meyer-Landrut continued.
The artist is currently on tour with her new album "Loyal to myself" and is scheduled to perform on Sunday evening in Allgäu.
Lena-Interview about mental health
Recently, Lena spoke openly about her mental health and self-doubt in an interview "I feel relatively stable in my feelings towards success at the moment," she said. Even if she "keeps private matters private," she has always shared "personal things."
Despite the unexpected cancellation of her performance at the Munich State Garden Show due to health issues, Lena Meyer-Landrut expressed her regret on Instagram, stating, "My conscience is nagging at me, but my body said no." In a recent interview, Lena opened up about her mental health and self-doubt, sharing, "Even if I keep private matters private, I have always shared personal things." This vulnerability has helped her feel relatively stable in her feelings towards success at the moment.
