For his return as a Comic-Hero, Hugh Jackman consumed 6,000 calories daily for a certain period. He did intense power training, as the 55-year-old told the German Press Agency. "Was it hard? Yes, it was harder than ever before", the Australian told the German Press Agency. "A part of me complained, another part loved it. I like the strictness. I like the discipline it brings. It's even good for my mind. I like having a goal."

Jackman is back in his legendary role as Comic-Hero for "Deadpool & Wolverine". Since the year 2000, he has embodied the Marvel character Wolverine in the "X-Men" films. Now, he is acting alongside Ryan Reynolds in the only Marvel Blockbuster of the year (Release Date 24. July).

As a muscular protagonist with legendary abs, Jackman became a cult figure with the "X-Men" series. He wanted to get back into shape for his new film. "Basically, it's a good thing when at 55 years old, one says one must be as healthy, fit, and strong as possible", Jackman said.

Did he ever feel during preparations that he no longer wanted to do the hard training? "I'm an actor", Jackman joked. "I complained the whole time."

Jackman's preparation for the Cinestart premiere included watching movies at the cinema in Berlin to get into character. The German Press Agency reported that Jackman's daily diet included consuming 6,000 calories to prepare for his role as Wolverine. Although the intense training was challenging, Jackman shared that he enjoyed the discipline it brought to his life. Jackman mentioned that he often visit cinema in Australia to keep his love for cinema alive. Despite the hardship, Jackman expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating that he was proud to be a part of the upcoming movie "Deadpool & Wolverine" in Germany.
