Why Hailey Bieber concealed her pregnancy

"I could have hidden the news until the end," says the model now in an interview with "W"-Magazine published on Tuesday. She had been able to hide her baby bump for six months because "I had been small for a long time," explains the wife of Justin Bieber further. That was also the reason for keeping the pregnancy a secret at first, as the Biebers no longer share every detail with the public.
Hailey Bieber therefore wore large jackets for a long time until they finally announced the baby news in May via Instagram. However, the secrecy weighed heavily on her much earlier: "Keeping this big secret didn't feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life."
However, the pregnancy was almost a trial for her until the second trimester. Bieber suffered from severe morning sickness: "I don't know why they call it that, it lasted all day. We need to change the name," she jokes. She still avoids Dr. Google for herself, however: "The internet is a frightening place for a pregnant woman. You see so many stories, traumatic birth stories, traumatic experiences. I know that's very real. And I don't want to scare myself."
Pregnancy "super emotional"
"At the beginning of the pregnancy, it was very emotional for me," Hailey Bieber recalls further. "I love this person (Justin) so much. How can I include someone else?", she wondered. "I'm trying to enjoy the days that only Justin and I have, just the two of us."
The daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and niece of Alec Baldwin became emotional during the interview when it came to her family. She revealed that she is "not very close" to the Baldwins and feels "very independent": "I am my own person now, and I have built my own family." Something that makes her very happy.
Hailey Bieber has been married to Justin Bieber since September 2018. Fans believe that the pair are expecting a little girl, as Hailey Bieber referred to her baby bump in a post as a "cherry blossom" and used a pink flower emoji.
