"I'm a star - Get me out of here!" - Who, when, where: All the jungle camp details so far

For some, it's a time when it's better to leave the TV switched off, for others "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!" is something like the annual TV Olympics. In 2024, a new group of celebrities will also be heading to the RTL jungle camp in Australia. The broadcaster from Cologne has now announced the exact date. The gates to the camp will open on January 19. Two of the participating stars are already known.

Jungle Camp 2024: the start date has been set

The first star RTL has announced for the new season is actor Heinz Hoenig. "I was just up for it this year. I just want to experience it. I'm free to do it now," he told the broadcaster. For him, it's about "insights, insights - you can't buy them. You have to experience them."

Hoenig will be joined in the bush by a former racing driver's wife. Cora Schumacher is the first camper to be announced. Naturally, she also wants to test her limits. "I've seen it so often on TV - I'm looking forward to having this experience," says Ralf Schumacher's ex-wife.

Cora Schumacher says she can also "show her edge"

Fans of the format can also expect a few private anecdotes from Schumacher. For example, she could talk about her failed marriage and her troubled relationship with their son David. She also promises: "If I'm provoked, then I can also show my edge."

As in the previous season, jungle veteran Sonja Zietlow and presenter Jan Köppen will host the show again next year. The latter had his premiere in January 2023, when he followed in the footsteps of "Let's Dance" host Daniel Hartwich. One fly in the ointment for fans is that the NFL playoffs will have a partial impact on the Ibes shows in the coming year. The episodes of the first two Sundays (January 21 and 28) will be significantly shorter than usual.
