They are players' wives, but also well-known stars in their own right: the British newspaper "The Sun" has published a ranking of the richest wives or partners of footballers, referring to a study by "Gambling Zone".
Rebekah Vardy is in tenth place. The 41-year-old wife of Leicester City's Jamie Vardy is a reality TV star and is said to be worth 3 million pounds (around 3.5 million euros).
According to The Sun, Perrie Edwards is ahead of her in ninth place with an estimated 7 million pounds (8.1 million euros). The 30-year-old is a successful pop star and member of Little Mix. The singer is engaged to British professional footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Perhaps surprisingly for many, Cristiano Ronaldo's partner is "only" in eighth place with a reported £9 million: Georgina Rodriguez has over 53 million followers on Instagram. The 29-year-old is also the star of a Netflix documentary and a sought-after model.

Former German footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger married Ana Ivanović, a successful tennis player, in 2016.
