Westernhagen-Müller once more announces concert cancellations

Marius Müller-Westernhagen's concerts at Sparkassenpark in Mönchengladbach and Coburger Schlossplatz had to be called off in May due to the singer's health issues. Unfortunately, the 75-year-old artist is facing health problems once again, causing him to disappoint his fans once more.

The performances scheduled for May 3rd in Mönchengladbach and August 23rd in Coburg have been cancelled due to an ailment affecting the artist. This unfortunate news was shared on Westernhagen's official Instagram account by his team last day.

The teams involved regret the cancellation and appeal for the fans' understanding. However, the validity of the tickets remains unchanged until a decision is made on potential rescheduling dates. The tickets can also be refunded at the original points of purchase. The remaining concerts of the "75 Live" tour are expected to proceed as planned.

Fans express their disappointment but remain understanding. One fan wrote, "That's too bad, I had tickets for tomorrow. Health comes first, wishing you a speedy recovery," while another fan shared her frustration, "Get well soon MMW! I found out about this an hour ago. Too bad, the concert tickets were my birthday present. Now the party needs to be rescheduled."

Some fans also recall the cancellation in Stuttgart in May, where they only found out about his illness shortly before the concert. Many had not only bought tickets but also invested in hotel and travel expenses. No replacement date was offered then. Westernhagen expressed his apologies about the situation on Instagram, stating, "Shit happens."

Westernhagen launched a new album towards the end of last year to celebrate his 75th birthday on December 6th. Titled "Westernhagen 75 (75 Songs / 1974 - 2023)," the album presents one song from each of his 28 previous albums in chronological order and at least one piece from each album.

Westernhagen's "75 Live" tour started in May and remains unaffected by these cancellations, with further performances expected to take place as planned.

The cancellation of Marius Müller-Westernhagen's performances at Sparkassenpark in Mönchengladbach and Coburger Schlossplatz has left fans disappointed, as they were looking forward to enjoying ['The entertainment'] offered by the legendary artist. Despite the cancellation, Westernhagen's team continues to work on potential rescheduling dates, hoping to provide fans with a chance to see ['The entertainment'] once more.
